Uneventful weekend

The next few weeks will be a bit manic, but at least at the end of them I'll have something more to say for myself! In the meantime, more scenes of our town. (Jeff gets credit for the first one.)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Now if only I had a blog so i could return the favour and wax poetic about all of *your* amazing qualities :)... you know, like

-being generally brilliant and in particular having an enviable and unparalleled command of language;

-able to (likewise) incite the giggles at any (including the most inopportune) time(s);

-managing somehow to exude warmth and approachability in any social situation and consequently able to put anyone else at ease (and let's fact it, waaay more upstanding and ethical than yours truly);

-completely selfless with a well-developed appreciation for the importance of family and friends;

-ok, even if not the quickest decision-maker, undoubtedly the most thorough :);

-and of course (and not least), the best friend anyone could ask for.

May your day be filled with free lunch, goods friends and a snuggly boy!

Happy Birthday Laura! I hope you had a fabulous day! There will be a present on the way, but it will be quite belated unfortunately. I wired too much money home and then got a shockingly large phone bill.

Are you going to be in Canada this summer? I put in my leave a couple of weeks ago and am waiting with baited breath for approval. I'm hoping to be home for most of August.

Anyway my dear, it looks like you're having a wonderful time in Oxford and I envy you! Take care.

Aw, thanks guys! I miss y'all. I'm really looking forward to your visit, Natasha - I miss your wise counsel. And Bridget, I think I will be home but probably in late July and only in Quebec, but let's keep in touch. Otherwise, are you still planning on doing some travelling this year or next year?

Happy Birthday Laura.

Was just thinking of you when I picked up the finally released full length by Lucky Soul. You recommended them way back when they released their first single My Brittle Heart last year. Its a great CD.

Hope all is well
